On a hot sunny day in July, I met Sarah and Matt at their brownstone apartment in Hoboken. After all of the stay at home orders, it was so nice to finally meet them and their kitties, Lily and Bear in person. After the kitties played with their new toys (of course I bribed them for affection) Sarah, Matt and I headed outside to their adorable backyard. It’s huge by city standards and reminds me of a secret garden full of hydrangeas and fig trees, planted by their Italian landlord (how cute!). Aside from being beautiful, it’s also a very special place, because that is where Matt proposed to Sarah!

After getting photos at home, we took a short stroll to Maxwell Place Park. Along the way we bumped into a friend of theirs and then we even ran into Matt’s mom and brother! One of the many reasons why I love city life! Maxwell Place offers an incredible panoramic view of the New York City skyline, has a great green space for lounging and picnics and even has a little beach area. Such an awesome location to have right in your “backyard.” I just loved hanging out and chatting with these two lovebirds and cannot wait for their wedding at Rutherford Hall this September!
