I had so much fun photographing Silvia and Oscar’s intimate wedding in our nation’s capital. Silvia and Oscar are from Peru, but Oscar’s two daughters and son live in the States (D.C. and San Diego to be exact). So they thought what better place to get married! Silvia’s two sons also live in Peru, but flew in the night before to surprise their mom…how sweet is that!?

The ceremony took place on the The Odyssey cruise ship. It was a gorgeous, sunny and October day to be on the water. Oscar’s daughter, Denisse officiated the wedding out on the deck surrounded by close family and friends with the Washington Monument as a stunning backdrop.

After getting family portraits everyone made their way back inside the ship for a delicious lunch of salmon and short rib, while enjoying live music and dancing. And daughter, Denisse ‘caught’ the bouquet!

To end a perfect afternoon, I took the newlyweds to a nearby park for some romantic couple photos.
